Our first day in Spain.....20th October 2018
We woke up late (!) at 9 a.m. after a great night's sleep.
We had a really excellent breakfast of fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausages and toast washed down, of course, tea. Then, after some general tasks, a shower and dressing we walked down into the town, visited the marina and the sea front with its decorative mosaic benches and stopped for a really great lunch of fish, (turbot and hake) washed down with some nice wine.
After this we visited the small fort which overlooks the west end of the beach.
Then it was the walk back up the hill to the house. On the way we ran into some English neighbors and chatted with them for a while. They are friends of the owners of the house that Bill and Paivi are renting for six months. They live in England and come here in the summer months. The elderly couple Ron and Joan who live nearly next door have lived in Gibraltar and have a Gibraltar registered car. They moved over to Spain for a quieter life several years ago.
We relaxed for a while and then enjoyed a very light dinner with some of the left overs from the previous day washed down with some nice wine. Then it was soon off to bed for a good night’s rest.
